thats right friday at about 11am gmt its the end of the world apparently.
so hows it going to happen guys? Zombies? Robots? Meteors? Ice age thingy from that film (day after tomorow was it?)

what you all think?

on a serious note check out the sun and sky at 11ish on friday as the earth is aligning with the center of the galaxy and by all accounts should make the sun look really freaky

The sun will look just the same as it always does. Grey. Because of our damned English weather.
 
Although nothing will happen, if something DID happen, it would probably be an electro magnetic pulsar from a solar flare. That would then start mass chaos and rioting...
 
The only star that would ever do any damage to us is our own. With that, our sun is not capable of creating anywhere near the electromagnetic force of a pulsar. A pulsar is not a phenomenon which stars do, it is a type of star in itself.

That being said, I take it you mean a simple solar flare from our sun? Yeah, that could be rather vexing for the whole electronic side of things, but we can monitor the sun's energy output to see when such things should happen - we're absolutely fine (for now).

well yellowstone is massively over due and we are also overdue a reversal of our magnetic poles. but all in all i think were all good
 
The planet will eventually die iirc. Isn't the earth moving slowly towards to sun every year anyway so given enough time the earth will get so close to the sun that our atmosphere will heat up to the point that life will not be viable. Oh that is if the sun doesnt burn out before then in which case we will be frozen. Happy holidays everyone enjoy the impending doom.

Nah but seriously this end of the world stuff they come out with is always just stupid. Its always something along the lines of something in the galaxy aligns with something else in the galaxy thus we will die.
 
I packed a months worth of food & water just in case. For $100 its piece of mind in case something remotely bad were to hypothetically go bad. For my sons sake.
The Mayans have never preached that it was the end of the world, that is the media beating it up to make headlines. It is however the end of the long count year. A very long cycle. We will continue it just the mayan long count calendar new years eve so to speak.
The world as we know it could end any given day. An accident at the LHC or with an intense solar storm such as that in 1859 which wasnt all that long ago really. Something like that would shut the planet down for ages. No power, no oil production, but worst of all no internet = no OC3D. Ahhhhhhh now that would be the end as we know it.
Thing is we take our modern day life for granted.
No point living in fear of a doomsday. Live every moment as your last.
Anyone watch the movie Monster's Inc. Monsters using our fear as fuel. Well that exactly what the current human government regime is doing.
Dont worry be happy. Game, dance, sing & express yourself.

What did they do to you...? Plus it's pretty obvious that airdeano also watches them.
 
I never disputed 'Deano watching it.
Wings is just plain stupid and whines all the damn time about not getting enough views etc.
Woody's one of the largest money whores in the YouTube scene (don't think i've forgotten about you, Whiteboy) and would sell out his own mother if it meant getting more subs.
As it happens, they're both mediocre at the games they commentate over. Woody's pretty terrible but he accepts that, instead he makes his living by giving terrible advice to young kids.
Wings is a self accepting camper who can't do well in the game if he isn't head glitching in one spot.

So...yeah. Been wanting to get that out for a while. I feel a lot calmer now.

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally have never watched them for their gameplays... In fact, I listen to their stuff, and browse other websites.
