How could i fit a 240 rad in the above case any ideas?

these appears to not be enough room between the top 2 fans and the MB for a rad thats 3.5cm thick.

could this be a idea:

arrow show air flow and there are 3 wc hole at the back and if i use 90 degree barbs would the tube curve round to go through the holes i would also put a radiator grill across the top of the rad like this on: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/Pulse-Modding-Premium-240-Radiator-Grill-pid-13617.html

or would it be better to have this grill: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...Grill-Black--BP-CDRG240ALBK-MS-pid-11959.html

and have the top two fans in taking air for more cooling and use that grill to stop most of the dust and then have the one 120mm exhaust. as will using the top to to exhaust through the rad as heat rises hot air wil be blown through it and i will get higher temps right?

If you are willing to have the radiator on the top of the case I say roll with it. If you use the fans for intake instead of exhaust I would recommend the 2nd choice grill, it should keep more dust out of the radiator, and the temps inside of the case will be higher. If you use the fans as exhaust you may see higher temps on the CPU, but they might be as little as 3-5 degrees warmer. I say go with it and test it out, try the fans in both directions and see how the temps are.

Have you thought about putting a triple rad on the top & have it overhang the back. The barbs could then be fitted underneath and go straight to the wc holes on the back panel.

good idea just it has to fit under a desk and that would make the pc to long. And wouldnt a 360 be bit overkill for just a cpu as i wont be wc the gpu costs to much.

As for higher case temps my antec is blowing air into the case and my mb went up 2 degrees and nothing else went up ur right ill get it and find the best way i would unless temps were to high exhaust as it will not get dust in the rad.

In 10cm could i make a U turn on 5/8" tubing to go from the rad barb to the hole on the case? or would it kink.

After a lot of thinking i think Sheroo has the best idea as if i did mount a 240rad i would have to spend £40 on fitting to make it possible and it would look a mess but with the 360 kit i only need 2 90 degree barbs for £8 so would cost for the whole kit to do it under £150 and i would get 120mm more rad space, i can use the 3 fan grills that the kit comes with as rad grills.

Here is a diagram:

i could leave the overhang of the rad with no fan but i cant see at the back as its under a desk so i might as well put a fan on it to get some better temps. i will have the other two fans inside the case venting air out, I know this will give me a few higher degrees but id rather have less dust in the rad than a few degrees.

As £150 is more than the £46 for my Antec i hope i can get higher than 4Ghz on it i know my chip can do that just i hit the temp ceiling.

I know this doesnt look really nice but i think it is the only way.

I like it. The only other possibility is to take out all of the drive trays & mount the rad in the front.

na i aint doing that i think ill get the 360 rad at least i can OC more.

Another option is to get the rad box that I linked to you before. And it will also but it behind the computer and not see at all under the desk, and it will not stick out anymore than you hanging the back end off of the case like your planning to do.

But that is my 2 cents worth, and what I would do if I was going to have to mount outside the case.

yea its a good idea but it will obstruct some of my GPU port and i would have to mount fans on it externally while with mounting it on the top and using the internal fans to blow air through means that less dust will get in the rad and the case intakes have dust filters.

Ill post some pics when im finished.
