I want to upgrade my rig, but I was wondering if will be able to still use my current PSU or i'll have to upgrade that too.

I want to add another 760 and 8gb of ram.
And I have noticed that I will have to connect 2 molex to 8 pin in order to run a second 760.

Current specs:

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
Processor: Intel Core i5 4670K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H105
Motherboard: MSI Gaming Z87-G45
GPU: GTX 760 4GB
RAM: G. Skill 2x4096MB DDR3 2400MHz CL9
SSD: 250GB Samsung 840
Harddisk: 1000GB Western Digital 7200 RPM
PSU: Corsair GS 700W

Screw that! No way would I use PCIe molex adapters, I'd get myself a PSU that supports XF/SLI probably a 850w minimum.

Hi there,

Might I ask whether this uses two molex for one 6+8, or just 1 molex? If it is just single, dont even bother, dual however would be usable, however would not be advisable, especially if you want to overclock at all. Your PSU would be able to handle the extra load on the rail though.

If I remember correctly the GTX 760 TDP is 170W your M/B would idealy be able to provide <75W.

Nonetheless, upgrade to a gold/platinum PSU that supports 1+ card configs. While your system shouldnt use more than ~600 watts even with dual 760, you should probably aim for a 850W as suggested above, so you have more headroom for future upgrade, lower stress/temps etc etc

One last thing, why get more Ram? 8GB is more than enough for most users.

I just picked up the RM850 last week and I bloody love it.

It's dead silent at low loads, playing WoW and Minecraft etc it doesn't spin up the fan at all.

Also the cables are flat black ones, easy to hide and route. Plus you can get proper individually sleeved sets from corsair (for a whopping price though, but look immense)

Doooo itttt!
