Watercooling Help

Hey guys. I am thinking of going water cooling soon but can't decide on what components to choose.

My Specs:

Intel core i5 760 @4Ghz

P55-GD65

4Gb DDR3 1600Mhz

Radeon HD5850

Corsair HX750w

Samsung Spinpoint F3

Coolermaster HAF 932 Advanced case

I have been looking at kits and custom components to work round that case.

This is what I have come up with....

XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 WaterCooling Kit

http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cus...aterCooling-Kit--RS-Series-Kit-pid-12137.html

Do you think that would be a good kit for my setup?

Please suggest any other kits or components...

**BTW my budget is £220**

RS240 would be good but the RX240 would be better, the RX240 has a thicker rad which will get you lower temps and you would be able to have the fans lower so it would also be quieter.

Ahh, Yeah. That kit looks great. Might but LED fans for it and hook it up to the Lamptron FC-9 when that comes out. Thanks!

Sounds good

Might as well go with a 360. plenty of room in that case and it has all the mounting points in the top already.

There is only mounting holes for a 240mm rad. But I could easily mod a 360 up there. Would it improve much in Performance than a 240 rad?

No it actually has mounting holes for a 360 rad. If you remove the rubber mat at the top you'll see 5 screws - 2 for the other end of the 360 rad and 3 to take off the front/top panel usb port jobby.

Have a look at TTL's lastest Shadow H20 build, his vid shows you exactly how it fits.

Nice! Thanks a lot!

Im testing the Phobya DC12-400 (got 2 of them now) at the moment and got some rads coming and cpu block and res.

The pumps are bang on and run at rated speed. Managed to get them down to 4V running at 180Lph wich is good all so for quiet cooling.

The are a little on the large size but so are the D5s. They are all so a little heavy but once hidden in the case they aint a problem.

I wouldn't recommend running them off any lamptron products though ive all ready killed 1 FC5 and FC3 with them.

Well the DC12-400 operate at 18V. The un-released FC-9 can cope with 50W per channel. I am getting that controller but Im not sure if I should run the Pump through the controller as you killed 2 Lamptron controllers with them.

Do you think I should risk it?

its recommend you dont run a D5 off a fan controller as the D5 has it own controller on bored and this could mess up the electronics.

Ive managed to Get the FC2 back up and running turned out to be a Hair laying across the pcb that made electrical contact knowing out the FC. How ever the FC5 is dead as a doe doe !!!!
