EK Full Cover Waterblock for NVIDIA 570 GTX SE P1263 Graphics Card.

what do you guys think any advice would good what do you think quick release fittings would that help with draining.

Hi Mate,

I've got more or less the identical setup to the one you're planning.

Couple of things I would take note of.

I've got mine push/pull and it's very very tight as you can tell from the pictures looking at the 932 seems you can only locate fans push, but my 8pin ATX connector is completely obscured by the fan, it fits and there's not a massive amount of stress on the cable but something to think about.

There isn't much point using the fill point if your going to use the XSPC X20 just leave enough slack to slide the dual drive res out.

I've used barbs for no other reason that it was supplied in the kit.

Some installation tips.

If possible remove everything from the case, this wasn't possible for me as I in now way could have installed the motherboard after the rad if it works out to be the same for you then make sure you remove the rear exhaust fan and gfx cards, as the rad will foul the exhaust/gfx cards or drive bays as you offer it up. It's easier to fit with the fans in place I used the phobya provided gaskets although not sure how much difference they've made with sound.

The block itself isn't overly complicated to fit, I got no instructions but I was already using a RASA block so it was pretty straight forward, I did have an issue (I think) with the back plate, on the Maximus Extreme there are a few SM resistors and Probe points on the back of the board which sit perfectly inline with the edge of the plate, it was causing my pc to stop immediately (fortunately not damaged anything) took me a while to find it having the board out on an air cooler fired up, put it back in failed. I covered the concerned parts with insulating tape and it's now not a problem.

A couple of photos of my rig installed.

Check out the droop on the 6950's.....................

Ignore the self amalg tape it's covering some weakness in the hose where a faulty exhaust fan decided to turn into a massive fuse. The resulting melting of insulation/hot wire has surface marked the tubing, I will replace it when I've got the hose i'm after.

Cheers

Lee

it's all very nice i liked it a lot they fans a sure close enough thanx for your post .

They're bitspower aren't they?

There are a couple of stockists, I think Tom did a build quite recently using those and he generally mentions suppliers.

Don't know why but I get the impression the o-rings are interchangeable.

OCUK carry them I think among others.

all i can find are the black and green o rings did't no they were changable

The red orings are the 'carbon coloured' ones the green orings are just satin black, once fitted you can not see it anyways.

You might find it cheaper to get the RX360 kit, if I was you Id be buying your kit from specialtech

iam buying from specialtech by the time i choose barbs the price will come to the same price as rx360 kit give or take a tenner

what your thoughts on quick release could it help a first timer drain his system if i put a couple on the res or gpu then could have one on spare tubing to drain

also dont know if i am going with the res bay or

Phobya Balancer 150 Reservoir Black Nickel

Phobya DC12-260 600LPH 12V Compact Pump

It wasn't a recommendation for ocuk. I've not bought anything through them was just the first site I hit with the orings and bitspower black connectors.

I was very happy with the price and service I got from specialtech on the RS kit, bit disappointed it didn't come with enough screws for push pull or short screws but that's fairly minor.
