Watercooled 660ti issue

Hey guys,

I am running a EKWEB full gpu block on my 660ti and also have a drain port attached to the exit port on the block. The weight of the block plus the drain port is causing the pcb near the back where it is screwed into the case to bend. Is this a bad thing? Is there anyway to add a support to counter the weight?

yeah you can get something like that

not exactly sure how it's called or where you can get it though :/

a backplate might help stiffen it up a bit... you want to be more worried about your PSU it's upside down :S

above ^^^ psu upside down wtf? No its not..
As for the bend in the card. Shorten the hose length to and from the card to lift it up a little.

screw it in tighter

remove the heavy drain port

gpu powerjack / scythe ninja wire

The exact name is "powercolor powerjack". But the actual retail version is the short one, which was designed for cases with top mounted psu's. So to actually be able to support the card you'll need to place it on your powersupply.

It would be nice if they could sell the big one that comes with their 7990 separately.

When you say screw it in tighter, i am guessing you are referring to the block. I installed the drain port for reason so removing it is not viable option. I found a power jack at NCIX and going to go pick it up after work, will let you know how that turns out.

I think by screw it in tighter he means the screws at the rear of the card attaching it to the case. When i only hand tightened mine my 7870 hawk sagged like mad but once i screwed them right up it didn't sag at all.
