Hey guy's I'm looking at a new build and deciding whether to go for WCing or air.

My question is will a NH-D14 fit my needs or should I just get water cooling?

Heres the specs:

CPU - i7 970 (will be OC'ed)

Cooler - Noctua NH-D14 or WCing

Mobo - MSI Bing Bang Xpower

RAM - 12GB Mushkin blackline 1600MHz or 12GB Radioactive 2000MHz

PSU - NZXT Hale90 850W

GPU - Nvidia GTX580 (maybe dual SLI)

SSD - Crucial RealSSD 128GB

HDD - 2x Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB

Case - NZXT Phantom

Thanks in advance!

What's the highest stable clock you've got outta it?

Also does anybody know if the nh-d14 will fit in the phantom with a 200mm fan on the side panel?

It wont, just move the fan upto the spare slot in the roof and have an extra exhaust instead
