Water Cooled Phantom Build

thanks
smile.gif
i hope your new loop looks good ! i just sat down and had a think for the best looking root
smile.gif

Thanks for the replies ! am now running my 980 Phenom and GPU well on a triple rad, but might add a second next year as temps could be lower than what they are lol

can i ask why you had to remove the fan controller and usb's up top? Did the rad not fit otherwise?

What are your Temps on cpu and gpu for a 360mm rad?

had to remove the fan controller to be able to have the third fan
smile.gif

Sorry for the delay, i just havent got around to doing some tests for temps, but i have now !

Case and insides look exactly as they did before, just a new CPU under the hood.

Was going to get BullDozer, but as its actually pretty crap (at this stage, hopefully the develop it more over the coming 6 months+ ) i will not be getting it and will be getting ivy bridge next year, so my motherboard, Cpu and ram will go up for sale !

temps are on my 360 rad, may add a 240 down the bottom at a later point

and thankyou for the replies, and i hope ive helped people understand what people can do with a phantom, there are many more things i will do to mine in the near future !

Thanks Guys !

i have been working on some heavy modifications, that i will get finished early next week

all i am saying is, rad in the front, mesh cover over psu, and perspex over 5.25" bay, may not make sense and sound interesting now, but just you wait
wink.gif

Fancy doing my cable management lol? I currently have all my PSU cables routed behind the motherboard tray and BitFenix Alchemy extensions connected from the PSU cables to the headers and drives... and it's an absolute mess
laugh.gif

Brilliant job mate.

duckie, if you spend a lot of time working on the cable routing like i did, it will look amazing,

you can still use the extensions and make it look good, its all about patience for perfection !

send me a pic of the back of your rig, and i could write you how to clean it up really well
smile.gif

Solidarity, thank you ! i have had so many comments towards the colour
smile.gif
i think its about. 13 drops of mayhems dye !

Perspex and Mesh should arrive at my place tomorrow, so will get photo's up with what i do with it on wednesday or thursday

here's a quick preview for whats coming up

(PLEASE NOTE BELOW SECTION IS COPIED FROM MY LOCAL COUNTRY'S FORUM)

Just some quick photo's of the stuff ive done recently

I have ordered the mod top for the D5 Pump as i need it to do the loop i want, and will also give it a nicer look.

i will probably get another radiator from CL next month, and then shortly after get a 6970 from somewhere, and get another Koolance GPU Block overseas as they are the most sexiest i can find, even though its the most expensive block too.

i am making a new top radiator mount to move it closer to the window side panel so that i can have extra fan's without the hassle of it bumping into the ram clip

Front rad will have fans like this :

Fan ->

Fan ->

Fan <- Fan <-

PS, HDD bay will be mounted like it is in the bottom because i cannot access the hdd's when its mounted on its side unfortunately.

also, the NZXT fans will not be used, i will switch them all over to the red led Phobya fans like the ones in the top.

the 5.35" bay is getting a black plexi mounted on the side, i only painted it that creamy white so then the metal which was not powder coated would not stand out under the glass potentially

Top rad will be in full push pull configuration

Oooooo, softcore computer pr0n!

I will be following your awesome log
smile.gif

I guess you're going to go for an external optical?

very much indeed ! the pr0n will get better
smile.gif

thank you sir ! look back hopefully tomorrow and you will more pics !

well. i have a SATA one, but only EVER use it if i am installing windows or something, so it will be slapped in when needed to

and blu ray? torrents give me blurays so no blu ray drive for me either !

Big update ! got my shipment of my Perforated steel, so have spend today making a new top panel piece for the radiator, and did the bottom cover over PSU, and HDD mounts. pop'rivited the the cover panel over the 5.25" bay, is tight and secure. no movement at all which is good.

Bought the EK D5 pump top, but am waiting on some fittings from CL, should be here friday
smile.gif

early next year i will be going to the FrozenCPU site again and will be buying the 45 degree fittings and 4 more 1/2" fittings. Also be getting another EK 360 radiator, hopefully can get that from CL instead of adding a 45usd shipping price ontop of what i all ready want to order. If i have the funds i will be adding another 6970 so will get a block from the states too, as the Koolance blocks are alot nicer. more expensive. but you pay for quality !

SO in about January there will be another big update for this topic
smile.gif

see you then

Have bought more heatshrink and am re'doing my failed attempt of sleeving >.< haha (so pics when all is together of course )
