Water cooled graphics

Anyone know about this water cooler? Zalman RESERATOR1 V2 Fanless

I am really keen to have a silent machine, my computer is in my bedroom.. I found this cooler and it looks right up my street because its fanless. (also it looks like a bit of fun!)

It supports cpu socket 1155 so no problems there but what about the graphics? I cant find much about the vga block. Can it be attached to the NVidia 5xx chips? Also I see that you can buy VGA blocks on their own. Can I buy one of those and hook it up to the Zalman cooler instead of the one it comes with?

Ive never done any water cooling but would give it a go. I was originally planning to get an insulated case and pick a quiet cooler and fans etc. but then the price slowly climbs so a water cooler like this actually looks quit cost effective..

I can't see any reason you can't add your own gpu block, but because that's an external cooler it will have some noise, and require an extra plug

But I guess you have already weighed these up

if your gonna spend that kind of money mate do it right and get a proper wc kit. That Zalman RESERATOR1 V2 Fan-less will not handle a Nvidia 5xx series card plus if you overclock its useless. you can get a XSPC RX360 kit for under 200 and add a gpu block for about another 100. And have alot better temps than this thing.

Will look into that.. Pity I would love it to be fanless. Just I dont see the point of moving the heat to another place by water and then still needing the same amount of fans to cool it! Apart from it looks cool.

But I guess with the XSPC it would only need the fans to be running slower than normal?

Hmm, so with this kit could I add a GPU block and it would handle it? The 360 radiator could do it all? That would be good..

Do you have a water setup?

Oops just read your sig

Actually Im looking for a similar spec as yours.. Do you have the EVGA water cooled?

Oh sounds good, so the XSPX 360 can handle cooling both? Do you have the 2560mb card? I wouldnt be looking to overclock like mad, maybe just a little bit

Im mostly after quietness.

I followed the link to your snow storm machine but a lot of the pics are dead. Anywhere I can see more of inside your machine? Very interested as Im looking at a similar spec.

lol I need to remove that. I have switched cases to the Cooler Master 932 so i could put the rad in the roof. look at my project rebirth log in the project log section. As of about 3 hours ago i have a 60mm thick 360 and a 54mm thick 120 temps are decent but i'm in Texas where its either hot or hotter. I keep my apt about 78f I have the 1.25Gb version the extra ram models came out a few months after i got this one. Mines the GTX570HD

The I got the itch to wc it agian and was looking at universal options. and stumbled on the EK FC570GTX SE (I made a post about it like 2 weeks ago.) in both plexi top and acetal top (I'm getting the Acetal one) if its still in stock when i have the $$
