Third times a charm? I've had so many watercooled setups and cases its sad. This is the THIRD loop I've purchased. Twice before I sold EVERYTHING and said it's air from now on. Didn't happen. :shrug:

Now, be easy on me. This was with NO MODDING at all to speak of. Well, I removed the metal mesh off the top of the case successfully in one piece in case I ever want to re-install it. I also broke out that crappy plastic design that resides under the mesh too.

And finally, a pretty cool pic I snapped. I have to apologize for the pictures. I was really lazy and just put the camera on Auto. As you can see, the ISO was pretty high which resulted in some graininess on the blacks but w/e.

Specs of the watercooling are:

D-Tek Fuzion w/a Backplate that came with a Zalman CNPS8000

MCR-220 (Push-Pull) -- 2x yates pulling, 2x lian li fans pushing

AquaXtreme 50z pump

T-line + DD plug

Distilled w/a hint of Pentosin G11 + PT nuke

7/16" Masterkleer

MX-2 Thermal Paste
 
Its no where near as messy as some!

Good job, first loop I've seen on here that has no colour in it too :yumyum:

Haha thanks. The coolant is just straight distilled w/PT Nuke. I'm probably going to get some deep red coolant in the future tho.
 
oh i have a suggestion , make that dell watertight and use it as a Res (leave the parts inside it)

looking nice tho
 
Looks pretty neat to me. (u don`t wanna see my wiring atm, I`m in "get it in there mode")

I honestly thought from starting to read the thread that u were about to say u had a catastrophe or summit.

It's not a dell, just a dell case. ;)
 
ide like to offer you some input , its not a criticism.

you could make the loop a lot more efficiant if you moved the rad more towards the back of the case so you can position the barbs so they are facing down towards the floor. you can then drill or cut one hole big enough to get a hose through above your rear 120mm exhaust fan.

you will then be able to run the hose straight to your block and and the other on your normal route to the pump. you will get the bend without kinking by trying to find the best height off the top of your case.

if you turn the rad upsid down you will save over 1ft+ off the loop and if you route the cpu hose as ive suggested you will save a lot more hose lenght and therefore make your loop a lot more efficiant.

Oh I know full well, I've had water so many times now it hurts. Maybe this weekend I'll do some modding... I've been thinking about it. I'll be at Home Depot tomorrow, maybe I'll pick up another 1" hole saw since mines pretty roughed up. This was just a quickie install but I have to say I'm really happy with the temps.

With my crappy clocking Xeon 3060 @ 3.6GHz 1.6v BIOS I idle at 28ºC/28ºC (CoreTemp) and I Orthos [Small FFT] @ 54ºC/54ºC. I got a REALLY even mount as you can see, so I don't want to fudge with that. The chip is lapped too.
 
very nice temps on that cpu mate.

im in the middle of a big build myself at the moment so i share your pain ;-).

i hope you get the bits you need to complete the tweeking (if there is such a thing as ''completed tweeking'' lol).

ps, i see the your lapped cpu in your avatar, very sweet job.
