o NVIDIA Destruction runs on your CPU and cannot be turned off due to its importance to gameplay. Players can however adjust the amount of destruction rendered on-screen, to keep framerates high on lower-end systems. And because Destruction is now an integral part of gameplay, it will also be available in the NVIDIA SHIELD, Mac, Linux, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, which link together with the PC edition for cross-platform multiplayer.
yay framedrops for all. I'd imagine they'll eventually fix it though. The game has always been pretty well optimized.
might download it again so I can go annoy some PS4 players.

inb4 Stalker starts trashtalking

Hello buddy ;) i am already famous after one day hah? xexexe :D

Water effects Gameworks ON looks pretty nice to be sincere, but i noticed when those effect is turned off there is no water shaking..so it is a bit unfair, but its advertising..maybe those water shaking is part of Gameworks code...and also destruction particles feels too much light like paper is falling,i was expecting more from NVIDIA. It should feel like heavy objects and to be more realistic just my personal opinion.I am expecting to be very taxing as usual :cussing:

If you look at Nvidia link in the article, in the comments everyone is saying it's running bad or broken. So think you nailed it with the framedrops:p

But why on earth would they run all these things on the CPU for PC at least? I can understand them choosing it so it's probably easier to port over and etc to Mac/Linux/PS4 but at least on PC wouldn't it make more sense to run on the GPU when a player has a dedicated one? Would probably help keep the higher framerate? Then again it probably isn't worth the extra effort/time/money to just make that happen on PC

Not famous, childish and annoying, you've been banned once, you're a nats hair away from taking another one.

Common man i dont bite here  i was just write a few words,i hate nvidia and their products..but some people here are huge nvidia fanboys so i will stop :D:mellow:

Its so that people running non nVidia hardware get the same features. Its the same idea that Unreal engine has with the built in physX. The idea behind it is basically everyone gets the same features but it'll be faster on nVidia as it'd run on the GPU (in theory..).

Ya i understand that part. Just seems counter-intuitive to always run on the CPU if a Nvidia GPU is installed. At least they are actually trying to be on a level playing field, that part I can appreciate.

Basically what I meant to say is that it SHOULD be running on the GPU if it is nVidia. I guess they just thought it was too buggy or something.

It's most likely so that all players experience the same thing as they say that destruction is now a key part of the gameplay.
