An AI Advisor is coming to Total War: Pharaoh, and it's (currently) a VRAM hog.

This is actually a pretty useful application for AI. Not surprised it uses 6GB of memory. Even small LLM are resource intensive(compared to just gaming)

I don't know. I feel like it defeats the purpose of a strategy game. Strategy games used to be for gamers who enjoyed the learning curve, the challenge, the thinking involved. You're supposed to learn those things on your own, not rely on someone to tell it to you.

You just simply turn off the advisor then? It has a lot of possibilities to be useful though. Depends on what they do with it

Nvidia's ACE is pretty impressive and opens the doors to some pretty cool things such as NPC's having their own schedules, Being talkative in the confines of the game world/lore of course, Even having a follower character who can intelligently help you like giving you ammo, Heal you, Pointing POI's out etc....

I'm hoping more devs make use of it and it's not just featured in 1 or 2 games as a minor showcase.
