War of the Roses

OH MY F**** I just had a look at some YouTube vids of War of the Roses off of Steam, it looks soooooo good. Anyone got it? I'm probably going to pick it up next week.

I saw a few videos, it just doesn't seem to interest me. I'm more into the fast paced FPS games while this just seems more like the best gear wins kind of thing, with not a whole lot of skill involved. I've been known to misinterpret games though, so I'll probably pick it up eventually to give it a try.

I've found my self getting bored of FPS games now, the only one I play is TF2 and recently, Black Mesa. There is NOTHING on the market that is unique anymore in the FPS genre, there needs to be a new Quake renascence.

Agreed, FPS games are stale. I still enjoy playing em though, but I can see how that might change in the future. Been playing a lot of Tekkit lately, that's very fun too

I played the beta, it was alright but i could see it getting very boring quickly, and the damn cavalry would just trample over you, even your own teammates would which was annoying. Also there was an obvious need for some weapon rebalancing, as soon as i got the two handed 'Scottish Sword' i was at the top of the leaderboard near every game, it's just so fast and powerful, it definitely needed rebalancing (idk if they have for the full game) Also i didn't like some aspects of the game (for example the bandaging and reviving system, but that's my opinion), and the archer classes were useless which kinda sucks cos i was looking forward to using them.

There's also a game called Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, imo that looks more fun and i may buy it. A friend of mine has it who also played the WOTR beta and he loves it. You should definitely look into that as it does look really good.

try league of legends if you're into DOTA2 only thing is there is a lot more learning in games like this which puts FPS players off like they did to my slef but once you get over the learning curve they're really fun

I watched Sidestrafe's youtube vid on this and I was bored after 20 minutes. He loved it but to me it was a hacknslah game. Nice looking game but that was it.
