This SSD requires no SATA data cable as it is able to plug strait into the users Motherboard, which may be handy for a compact M-ITX system or an easily managed boot drive for a home server.

The SSD will be available in capacities of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, offer speeds of up to 220MB/s read and 80MB/s write and come with with a 2 Year Warranty.

So far the only downsides of this product seems to be its SATA-II interface and its small capacities, that being said it will still offer great speeds compared to traditional hard drives.

It will be interesting to see how people can make use of such a small piece of storage.

Once they get to 120gb they will be nice, even then its data 2 :(

The only uses i can think of is;

1. As a boot drive for a home server, so you can use all your cases space for HDDs (provided your case doesn't have a dedicated 2.5" mount)

2. As a boot drive for a future steam machine built for the purposes of streaming.

If the price is any higher than a general ssd, then i don't think they will sell to well. 64GB is budget ssd size or for a pc with very low storage requirements.

me thinks its more of a flash drive than a ssd. Just uses a sata interface versus a usb port to get faster speeds.

Would make a decent Linux portable boot drive. You could use it as a portables Steam OS drive as well and even have enough space for a couple of games.
