want a new GPU

Hey guys,

I will be upgrading my GPU within a few days/next week but i just CANT make a choice
I want to go AMD this time and wanting to go crossfire.

What am i stuck with? Well i will be watercooling in the future. Planning to get the budget by christmas/new year and so far there are not a lot of waterblocks compatible with the 390/X cards beside the 290's reference design cards like XFX for example.

Now i want to know, should i go 390 or X, is the 100€/card difference worth it or not and which one should i chose if want to go WC? i was looking at the MSI gaming cards and ASUS DC3 which i love but dont think there are compatible waterblocks nor does EK have any plans so far :/

i am gaming at 5760x1080 surround. Why crossfire? just because i love having 2 cards

most 290X blocks from EK will fit the 390X matey it says so on their website. was there a particular 390X you were thinking of?. here are the blocks they do atm https://shop.ekwb.com/water-blocks/vga-blocks/full-cover-for-amd-radeon/radeon-rx-300-series EK will bring out blocks for the other 390X's mate. they said the same thing about my 290x vapor X but now I can order one from them and they will make it for me.

i was choosing between the ASUS STRIX and MSI gaming 8G, both not compatible as far as i've found. I might do that but so far i'm stuck between 390 or 390 X budget wise. Fury's look nice atm but me wanting 2 can get expensive with them ^^

I can get one fury now and get one later but that way i can keep on moving and moving with getting new hardware piece by piece and been doing that for so long now that i just want to get 2 at once and get too the new chapter and get a nice budget for WC. Been planning it for a year now. Got 2 TFC 240 admiral radiators screaming to be used

Maybe drop EK an e-mail mate that's what I did as both the strix and msi cards are new custom pcbs.

A quick search on several forums told me that EK has no plans so far for making one. Both site aswell as a certain member from ek said so :/

Which leaves me with the XFX cards but do kind of look a bit meh imo.
OR maybe i can try a mod like one of us is doing atm with his GTX cards and making a Hybrid card ^^

tbh if you are going to waterblock them you are better off buying reference anyway I know I wish I did. not that I dislike my Vapor X the air cooler on this is awesome

Can you pick VTX3D 290x cards? They have reference PCBs and should be the cheapest out there ^^
