Waiting for parts

This is the worst part ever. Checking your tracking number ever hour doesn't help aye? Anywho I have 19 items on their way as we speak.

2500k

Msi p67a-g43

Cooler Master Storm enforcer

OCZ Agility 2 120gb (newegg had a good sale)

8gb Kingston HyperX 1600mhz

Gelid Tranquillo (mild overclock)

MSI gtx460 hawk

Corsair GS600 power supply (gamer series, hope it works out, not too many reviews I could find)

Seagate Barracuda 1tb 5900 rpm storage

Samsung DVD burner

Asus wireless network adapter

Saitek Cyborg gaming keyboard

Razer Naga mouse

Acer 23inch 1900x1080 Monitor

Razer Goliathus mouse mat

Logitech speakers

I know the gtx 460 seems like an odd choice with the 2500k. The thing is I like to play alot of mmo games, WOW, SC2, strategy, the old republic (when out) and DEFF wanting to play some Diablo 3 when its out. These type of games seem to be more cpu bound. So a mild overclock on the cpu and see what I can get out of the hawk, my resolution is mainstream so i'm thinking I will be good to go. Now my question is, if any of my fellow americans have used the newegg rebate system? And if so, is it a smooth processes? I should have about 150$ in mail in rebates coming my way, and if its given as credit, or card, I could use it for something, so i'm open to suggestions. Maybe a decent headset with mic? Sound card? Thanks

*Edit 19 items including the free gifts, world of tanks cd, a hat, some other crapola.

That's a nice little bundle of joy you have heading your way

I know what you mean about tracking the items I have a couple on the way at the moment myself. It's even worse when it's delivery day, every car door and every diesel engine I hear i'm looking out the window

You made the right choice with the 2500K and if I remember correctly the 2500k and 2600k perform better with WoW and SC2 that any other CPU.

Exactly Sieb. I was going to go with a 955 x4 and a better gpu like a 560, but I thought a better cpu would probably yeild better results for those games I mentioned. Specially with all the effects in mmo's and raiding and what not. Its a real workout for the cpu.

I love waiting for new stuff to come. Every other person that comes to the door that day gets a disappointed look and they must think that someone is following them - as I look past them and check up and down the street...

I always make sure I'm extra nice to the delivery guys. The only thing that is problematic is timing your natural breaks...

The motherboards kinda crap

Reason 1). It hates overclocking

Reason 2). It isn't even full ATX width so cm becomes w pita

Reason 3). For £5 more you can have a GD-53 with the full ATX size and the cool on off buttons

personally i hate waiting for deliveries, if its ever important it wont be delivered on the said day, i often have someone at home most days but free deliveries with out tracking always seems to come either when they arent here, in the toilet and it seems the delivery guys wait for 10 seconds before running away. its really fustrating i think ive had to personally drive to the depot about 5 times due to that,

looks like a nice build keep us updated

The good old toilet trap

Waiting is the worst part. Hopefully UPS is better to you than Purolator was to me. They delivered my 5 fans, y-splitters & Seagate Barracuda (7200, 1TB) AT 6:30 AM. I don't wanna see anyone that early. Took em till today to get it to me.

The motherboards shit

dont just shit on a thread without saying why please if ya have nothing good or objective to say move along "these are not the droids ur looking for"

if it was neweggs rebates then it would prolly go better. However they just give ya the option you have to deal with each products manu to submit and such. All I can say if there's a corsair one in thier dont hold ur breath as it will take them months and then (even though you did it right) you'll get a message when tracking it (the rebate) that it wasnt done in a timely manner, then when you call to ask why they'll give ya the run around they owe me about 25$ still from earlier in the year

Got all my parts today, the system went together like butter. The one thing I did notice, is wow that PSU has way too many cables. But pretty blue LED haha. I'm lame. I'll take some pics in the am my phone cam doesn't like shadows for some reason. So far the Agility 2 has worked without a hitch, getting advertised read and writes. Wouldnt mind grabbing another one for raid if I can work the rebates out. I mounted up the tranquillo twice, and for some reason the fan would just barley turn, every few seconds, it would spin, then stop. I went into the bios cranked it up to 100% but nothing, still reporting 0 RPM. I played with the connector, its PWM 4 pin and I dont have a molex adapter. But the funny thing is this intel stock one is running the fan fine. Weird! So I guess i'll just RMA it. I should probably mount that into another topic though. haha
