W/C Setup

I'm going back to watercooling. Phase was good and I enjoyed it lots, but I want silence and style now.

Anywayz I will post my progress in the work logs section soon.

I am planning on...

DD12v Pump >> 120.3 >> SLI7800s >> 120.1 >> CPU >> 5.25 Res.

This is really because of layout, and it would look the best in this order. I was just wondering if this order would cause any problems (I'm not necessarally after best temps)? I have all the stuff except the gpu blocks which are probibly gonna be maze4's.

Thankx ppl.

You'd probably be fine without the 120.1 to be honest but if you have it spare or something it couldnt help.

Ok, so i've done a bit of work on this, but by far the noisiest part is the 12V-D4 pump. Is the 12V-DD5 Laing any quieter. I really want it as quiet as posible so any silent/near silent pump suggestions will be great. Cheers people :D

yeah, i noticed the D5 was supposed to be quieter, a comparison (ie has someone got one lol) would be nice hehe. I fink the Aqua is too big for my setup as it needs to be mounted sideways in the 5.25" drive bays :(

I will post work logs tonight for all to see. :D

Well i use to have a D4 which I sold - I later purchased a Aqua 50Z and remember thinking it was slightly smaller. I don't think that there is a lot in it. It'd be nice for someone who has owned the D5 and Aqua to give a comparison of the two...

iv had both, the d4 was a noisy bugger! the aqz is smaller i think, cant you dremel out some of the drive cage?

was really trying to avoid that lol. My D4 sits in sideways perfectly. Thats why i was looking at the D5. i'm gonna try puttin my D4 on a fan controller 2nite to see if it makes a difference, I did some searchin and seen good things about the D5. ie much quieter than the D4 with more push etc.

I also have read that someone rated the D5 quieter than their previous AQZ. But that is just one persons opinion...

yea im gunna replace my d4, its way too noisy, all i have going atm with my setup is my d4 and it aint silent by any means, i have all my 120.3 fans off as i dont use em all the time as i dont game as much as i used to

let me know how the dfi chipset block is wehn it arrives.

let me know the normal load temps with and without it m8.

pitty it didnt fit mine or i would have kept it.

sending it out 2 u first thing tomorow m8. ;)

cheers mate, waiting on clips and some extra hose, but its all goin in the work logs lol. I also need to aquire blocks for my gfx cards. Dunno weather to go for the maze4 and sinks, or NV78s.

maze 4 and tweakmonster sinks m8 deffo.

the prob with them by cooling memory and gpu they wont clock as high.

memory with sinks is loads better with good airflow. ie fan blowing over em.

using maze 4 and sinks on my x1900 and its loads cooler. idle temps on both cards and cpu had it to 11c. no joke.

well, decision made then lol.

You really need to post pics of your setup, the spec in your sig looks very nice lol.
