Hey need an alternative to Skype for calling landlines. I was wondering which is the cheapest? I know Skype is pretty cheap but I'm looking for the cheapest subscription. I do not want to use PAY AS YOU GO.

Good idea - i take it you want to have a complete alternative to a landline? should work out quite cheap.

I have no idea on the cheapest however, but will be looking at this thread at any responses

Yeah you pretty much got it, don't understand why my phone bill has been coming to £40 when I hardly use the phone(phone calls alone). I can't even access the call record. Other half hasn't been using it either, well she says not lol.

So scrapping the phone just sticking with my broadband I guess. Works out a lot cheaper.

The one voip service that I can think is just as good if not better then skype is called gizmo found at http://www.gizmovoip.com/learn, there is also google talk. To find something that is significantly cheaper with out finding something that is also slightly shady or completely feature lacking is going to be tough. Skype competes with all these smaller ventures so it is harder to find something that is any cheaper.
