Ok guys I'm getting ready to put in my pre-order for Vista and I can't decide between Business and Ultimate. Naturally I would usually go for Ultimate but none of the features in Ultimate would be anything I'd use, EVER.

Here's the feature comparison list:

Now, Ultimate full version is $379.99. The Business full version is only $282.99, almost $100 less than Ultimate.

What do I lose for that $100? Media Center and BitLocker? I can hardly justify the extra $100 for those two things which I'd never use. I was under the impression that the Business version wasn't going to have Aero but since it does it seems to be like the smartest choice.

What do you guys think?

thats £196 for ultimate, it's only £135 on overclockers. I'm having a guess that the overclockers price will change. As UK prices are never cheaper than the US

Personally, if i didnt use those features i'd go for business.

Overclockers is selling the OEM version. Amazon is selling the retail version. Thus the price diff.

I would reckon when the retail versions hit the shelf in the UK they'll be well over £200 / copy.

cant u get a discount @ local stores if u bring ur old cd key (with COA of course) in? pretty sure that u get a 100 US off whatever VISTA package u get.

I think thats what the Vista Upgrade packages are for ;)

yea thats what im saying ultimate with exchanging CD key is only 259 US. Here and scroll to the bottom. Saying that if Frag keeps his OS it will be 380.

I had been thinking Home Premium but now that I look at it I'd rather have Remote Desktop than Media Center, so I'll probably get Business..

My vote goes to Business. I can't justify the $100 more just for something you'll never use.

But if I was to get Vista it would be home premium.
