There are companies using pcs out there that are stuck back on XP releases that compare to a release just after SP2.
They do not and will not see something like a KB and release it into their businesses of 1000s of users until it`s been in the world for a while, tested with the IT suppliers, tested with their champions, tested with their builds, tested alongside the apps they use for business. This is for each one and takes a whole bunch of time as u can imagine. Security testing and stability testing, and even then things slip through.. and u have to go back a few weeks of the process and start again at something stable. It`s a continuous job in itself, especially with windows - but it follows with mac OS/linux releases too, just not on such a scale.
I`d love to know, outside of plain desktop/office users with less than 100 people, which companies have adopted Vista already.
Still using IE6 here lol
