Vista SP1 Beta 1 Coming Soon?

Personally i dont see the problem, They have always beta tested service packs, including SP1 and 2 for XP.

As a previous post mentioned you'd moan even more if you installed it and screwed up your system and then you found out it wasnt beta tested.

im not saying they shouldn't test it, but it does not need to be beta tested

I think it should be beta tested...just to make sure even if it does sound a bit silly (all past updates and all)

Nice editing previous post ;) getting a bit heated :p

Everything needs to be tested before released out into the general public i think. I wish game companies would do that. Some games that get like 5 patches as soon as it comes out is freaking rediculous.

There are companies using pcs out there that are stuck back on XP releases that compare to a release just after SP2.

They do not and will not see something like a KB and release it into their businesses of 1000s of users until it`s been in the world for a while, tested with the IT suppliers, tested with their champions, tested with their builds, tested alongside the apps they use for business. This is for each one and takes a whole bunch of time as u can imagine. Security testing and stability testing, and even then things slip through.. and u have to go back a few weeks of the process and start again at something stable. It`s a continuous job in itself, especially with windows - but it follows with mac OS/linux releases too, just not on such a scale.

I`d love to know, outside of plain desktop/office users with less than 100 people, which companies have adopted Vista already.

Still using IE6 here lol
