I think i may have taken it out when i slipstreamed SP1 into my copy but im not quite sure. Anybody know a way of checking this?

Off the top of my head, I think u can type sidebar in the start->search thingy and it may startup (if it`s still there). From there on, u can set it to autostart if u want.

I`m almost sure it`ll find it if it`s there.

Go to Start - All programs - Accessories - Windows Sidebar.

Another way to start Sidebar is to go Start - Accessories - Run - then type sidebar into the text area and click OK

Well weve already established its not in Vista anymore so im guessing i must have taken it out when i slipstreamed SP1 into my install disc. Soo how do i get it back without formating and wasting another DVD?

Can u do a similar thing to XP, as in goto Add/Remove, and check the list of windows components.

Somewhere in there I`d imagine Sidebar being in the tree and unticked/unchecked - check it and see, it`ll probably ask for ur original dvd.

Check C:\Program Files and see if the Sidebar folder is within it. If there is, there should be an exe to start the prog up.If the folder or exe isnt there then it isn't installed.
