very weird graphics glitch

hi, my missus has shown me a very odd problem on her pc, when viewing pictures in windows photo gallery the pictures glitch and cut bits out, it only happenes in this program, and it when you drag the windows round diferent parts of the photo dissapear, i have taken a few photos to try and show this, im a bit baffled. it happens even when dragging to the second screen, the main screen is on the 7870, and the secondry screen is to the mobo,
i3 3220, 7870, asrock z68 pro3 gen3, 8gb ddr3 crucial ballistix 1600, windows 7 64,, all drivers are up to date.

Thats a sign the memory is overclocked too much and/or on its way out

hmmm, thats odd, the m,emory is only a couple of years old, and is not clocked at all, running stock settings

ill take a couple of sticks outa my rig and see if that makes any difference, and report back.

ok, so i have tested a couple of my sticks, no difference, tested in both sets of slots, no difference, so back to square one, have clean installed drivers, same thing, no other programs or games are affected,

I've had the same issues with my xfx 7870 and my 280x. The 280x had a bad OC on the memory and the 7870's memory was slowly dying. Do you have an XFX 7870?

It's usually a problem with the GPU's memory that would cause issues like this

aah. well, thats not as cheap a fix....
its a sapphire card.

well, i have tested an underclock and no difference, but like i said, the issue stays when moving the image the the second screen,

UPDATE: have tested with gpu removed. and the issue stops, i then tested with only the gpu and onboard unplugged, and the issue was back, but not as bad. maybe its the intel driver clashing with the amd one, ill try rolling that driver back, failing that it looks like its gonna be a new card time, just wierd that she has no issues playing games.

yeh, i kinda brain farted and missed that one i guess ill have to keep an eye out for a bargain! but like i said, in games it seems ok for now.
