Venturing into wireless

Hi Guys

I'm looking for some help from those of you who have already turned to the wireless alternative. I'm currently on a 10mb cable connection with an Motorolla SB4200 cable modem and an Netgear FR114P SOHO router http://www.netgear.com/products/details/FR114P.php. I wanna ditch the restrictive nature of a wired router and purchase a wireless version. My Netgear router has served me well and I like the security specs it has (VPN, SPI, NAT), so I'm looking for a wireless version with the same features. It doesn't necessarily have to be Netgear brand, but I want something comparable. Price isn't really an issue, but reliability and integrity are. I was looking at these

The broken record returns. Belkin has my support, my wireless drops out about once or twice a year.

I'll keep my thoughts about the current gen of wireless networking to myself ;)

hehe plenty of *s would do it ;).

THG did find that the Netgear Rangemax 240 was able to give 100mbp/s throughoutput, so it can't be that bad.

They use traffic shaping to ensure that gaming traffic is prioritised over other traffic. Not worth the money over here, but depending on the price in Aus, probably an ok choice. Wireless will be pretty slow though as its only 108, which won't give much more than 54g.

I will say that Belkin wireless works flawlessly once you get the damn thing up and running (often its the wireless adaptor device that gives the hassles). I personally far prefer wires....you know where its going then ;)
