Download the BIOS that supports the 6xx series unzip it and stick it on a floppy disk.

Then boot your machine, and as soon as the bios screen comes up press 'F2'. This will take you into a awdflash program thats integrated on the board.

You should then be able to use this to flash your rig with the bios that supports the 6xx series without the need for the 5xx series processor.

Makes the comp restart.. lol

By pressing f2, or by trying to flash?

All that should be on your floppy disk is the bios.bin file.

Also, double check that its F2 and not another key (should say at bottom screen during bios stage)

Pressing F2, any key makes the computer restart :(
