Hi guys - anybody got any suggestions ive got a vapo XE, all seems to work just fine but doesnt hold the pc in reset i.e. just lets it boot striaght up and doesnt wait until it gets to -10

some rig spec would help m8 , if its a ic7-g / ic7-g max 3 etc then it doesnt hold reset and a small cable mod needs to be done .

It sounds like you need to either upgrade the chill control board or change the motherboard - if you look on the asetek website you'll find a list of suitable motherboards. AFAIK this effects the Classic, PE and XE models.

I thought about this, but its supposed to have the latest chillcontrol and as its a new mobo (nforce3 250) i was wondering if this was where the problem lies....

Well if you have the new chill control then it sounds like its a motherboard compatibility problem, you should throw it Asetek's way.

i had a problem with my m2, it would start up the pc as soon as it booted, the cure in the book was to unplug the motherboard from PSU but this didnt always work so a resorted to switching on the m2 then the plug the pc in, which worked fine and then i just tried it again one day and it would start to work properly. Seems odd the controlboard is aware of the PC boot so why it tells the motherboard to start straight away is strange i am guessing there thinking is drain the voltage and whatever caused it will reset.

Is it possible that yuor's is set to boot when the temp reaches -10 maybe?
