Vapo & Hiper

So what's the verdict? Should I just go either Water or Phase? If I were to do both, what would be the ideal way to set things up?

jellybeard, the 12V vapochills are designed to run above the socket, that is why if you put them below you have to put in a J bend like i said.

I would say go for it, im sure you could get it to work, it wont be the easiest thing in the world, but should be doable.

The 2 big issues here i think are if the vapochill can fit into the bottom section of the case, and whether the hose will reach the socket with the vapochill in the case and the motherboard mounted upside down.

If you can do both of those then you just have the problem to getting the CC to work properly with the motherboard, which is definately surmountable.

The choice at the end of the day is yours.

UGH, my vapo is gonna be here today. According to my tracking # from UPS, it was in the state on Friday, but sat at UPS over the weekend. So it'll DEFINITELY be here today. Was anybody else's wait as excrucating as mine is the day their phase cooling unit was supposed to arrive?!?!?!

yup! I missed my vapo delivery 4 or 5 times. Was such a relief when I saw the delivery guy heave it out the van when I was in! :D

You`ll no doubt know this, but even when you get it in front of you, control the enthusiasm and watch what your doing with everything you do. Mistakes get expensive very quickly with condensation and high end gear :)

I was planning on running it not hooked up yet for an hour or so just to ensure it's functionality. I can't wait to see the head frost over! So f'ing sweeeeeeeeeeeeet :-p

How much more superior are the prothy's as opposed to the vapo's?

I wouldnt run it for an hour without load, it wont do the unit any good, just hook it up and see that the head gets frosty and the CC reads nice low temps.

Prommy's and vapochill's both have their +s and -s, i dont think you can call either superior (although prommys are generally superior to 12V vapochills as they are more like LS units), the only truly superior units are the custom units.

That's right - just check to see if it gets down to temperature, it'll show that it hasn't been damaged in transit and leaked! :O

Do you know if your opty has the coldbug yet?

Opty def has the cold bug. I can only get it to 2.1 stable, after that computer runs like shyte. I dropped my x2 4400+ in and got it up to 2.9 stable. So time to get rid of my little opty that runs 3ghz stable all day long on air or water :-(

bah that is a shame :(.

What temps you getting on load with the vapo and the x2?
