Valve Receives an F in Customer Service

Can still get a refund though so it's not as bad as people are making it out to be. Still is bad however.. me personally i think any person has the right to demand a full refund on anything (example with steam) so long as the product is removed from the account/system entirely before demanding a refund. The refund should also go back to the person and not in store credit. In store credit isn't giving someone their money back.. its still ensuring the company that you will end up still buying something from them meanwhile no matter what you are still out the amount you paid because if you need it for something else you can't get it back. I think the only in store credit should come from one source, gift cards. Anything else should be returned to owner.

I agreed, I did some google searches earlier and i came across this but i can't find any updates tho.

Personally never had an issue with Steam Support myself. I'm aware others have though and the refund thing is pretty important considering the state of PC gaming these days. Stop being lazy Valve!

Not gonna lie, atleast Steam is somewhat secure compared to Origin and Uplay. They seem to be compromised on a daily basis.
I have to agree dude, I've never had any issue with Steam in my 5 years of having my account, the only annoyance I have is the constant emailing of the secure code when ever I CClean it's frustrating to say the least.

Yeah i have that same issue, I didn't know that every time i use CCleaner that will make that come up.

Personally i can see the the F rating as the two times since it's inception (and yes i have had a steam account since day 1) I have had cause to contact support they took 4 days and 8 days to get back to me.....

But more telling to me at least was Valve's reaction to that rating:
"The BBB is a far less useful proxy for customer issues than Reddit," Johnson began. "We don't use them for much. They don't provide us as useful of data as customers emailing us, posting on Reddit, posting on Twitter, and so on."

So unless you cause a fucking big stink in a public place they don't give two shits. That attitude from THE biggest online game service is HORRENDOUS

one thing i never did understand was people getting a refund on a game..
I have never asked for a refund on a game in my entire life regardless of how bad it was, this is true for atari 2600, acorn electron, c 64, nes, snes, playstion, xbox, GBA, NDS, psp. And of course PC games "dos through till today"
I have bought MANY terrible games.
I accidentally bought shadow gate for the nes thinking it was a nes version of shaddow run, "was a pretty good game if you like that sort of stuff btw" but i was dissapointed after i bought it.
i had hard core 4x4 on the playstation (probably the worst racing game i ever saw.)
There were a MULTITUDE of terrible games on the older consoles and dos games..

but i have never 1ce asked for a refund or return on a game..

So i just dont comprehend it..
if i bought a football but did not enjoy playing with it i wouldnt take that back either..
So i dont have an issue with no refunds because i never ask for one any way.
i dont pre order, and i pay close attention to game reviews and wait for artleast a week after release so i get genuine oppinions.
if i make a bad purchace then thats my fault.
Same with going to the cinema.. If i dont like it i dont go and demand my money back. and then i go home decide i will try this hot chilly anchovi and oyster sauce pizza.. Then decide i dont like that. i dont demand a refund either..
