Does anyone truly believe that if Valve announced HL3 it would be any good? Honestly it would have to be the greatest game ever made at this stage, the story, the graphics, the gameplay, the Dev support... it would be a such a let down and we all know it.
Still more space for the new office, more room for VR fails in my eyes. It's the 80s all over again.

Yeah tried Vive, wasn't that impressed to be honest. It has application like design, development and education but for gaming it's just wasted IMHO. We discuss this a lot on Discord, the ability to roam and explore places like Everest, Mars deep ocean canyons ect or complex scientific research would be epic though.Have you tried it yet?

I'm waiting for the nod from my mate at Maplins so I can go down and experience Assetto Corsa and Euro Truck Sim.. it may sway me but I'm kind of on the fence still. It just remains a fad with me same as it did back in the late 80s, it's most definitely more affordable that's for sure compared to the $25,000 back then but I do truly see VR going the same way as the Wii.I don't think you've tried games that show it off tbh... this generation albeit expensive.. doesn't feel like a fad at all, once they can bring the BOM costs down and make it a little more accessible and the game design comes on a bit, it's going to be pretty revolutionary. There are games that are kinda meh, I'll give you that, but then there are some that just click.. and you're there... and it's not something you can really describe, you kind of have to experience it for yourself, but when you do and you suddenly realise the potential.. it's pretty coolAs more of the haptic stuff starts to appear and as the software matures and as dev's start to realise how to make it work properly.. it's gonna be huge.
