Use Corsair Cable on Seasonic PSU?

Just wondering if its safe to use the Corsairs HX620W PCI-E cable which has the 8 Pin PCI-E connector on my Seasonic M12 600W psu as my 2900pro card requires the 8 Pin (I know its not necessary but I want it) and both PSU are nearly identical.
