Hi my computer is 4-5years old and it is time to upgrade my computer.

Rite now my cpu is E8400

Mobo is EVGA 780i

Memory is 4GB DDR2

And my graphics card is Asus GTX470

With 850W Power

Its all in Antec1200 case.

Wat i want to change it to is:

Intel Core i5 2500k

Gigiabyte P67A-UD7

Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 8GB DDR3

OCZ Vertex 2 120GB E Series SSD

NH-D14 Cooler

What i want to ask is:

1. This new ram will fit in with the cooler? And will all this fit in my case. (if it doesnt fit what would be a good one?)

2. Would i need a new graphics card?

3. Should i wait for OCZ vertex 3?

I will be overclocking my CPU and the RAM.

1. No it will not fit under the cooler, the heatsinks are too large. You could rip them off and but some small ones on, but I would recommend against that. Just go and buy different memory, for example Mushkin and Kingston do make some good sticks.

May want to look at the Kingston Genesis that were reviewed on OC3D just a while ago. They are 4GB of 2133MHz and the timings are great for that frequency aswell. Remember you will not need 8GB of memory for gaming and the like. 4GB is more than enough for anything other than heavy video editing and rendering.

The cooler should fit in your case, but if you want to know for sure just measure the space from the CPU socket to your sidepanel. The Noctua needs around 165mm of space (actually it is 163mm I think, but it's always good to have a little bit more room).

2. You will probably not need a new graphics card, but that just depends on what titles you play and what results you want to see. But I would say you can stick with your "old" one.

3. No. I would actually get a different SSD if I was you. Maybe a Kingston V+100 or one of those new Intel 510 series SSD. They are both supposed to be amazing.
