VB is refined, symmetrical and generally isn't hated by people like IPB when they started taking the p155 with the free version..

You are talking about the skin, that's wrong.

You can always re-skin it, but the system itself is much better.

I'll install a demo for you guys to try, admin access and everything.

When deciding what BB to use for OC3D we tested out about 8 different ones. The admin area of IPB seemed really clumsy and spread out to me and the plugins and skinning system wasn't as good. If we thought IPB was better, we'd have gone with it

2.2 is NOT like the older versions, also the upcoming 2.3 is amazing!

Yes indeed it does. I've used both and the admin section of vB is ENORMOUS and much more tweakable out of the box, vs IPB.

I agree with you XMS. It might look OK after some MASSIVE skinnage but it'd take a ton of work.

Im not entering into this arguement about which is better, but personally I find vB easier to manouvre around in. I've never been fortunate enough to be in the Admin sections of either vB or IPB so again I can't comment. I like the theme, feel and look of what we have now, it looks professional, uncluttered...and it works well. Great work Jim :worship:

But anyway I might aswell have my say, I run a forum using IPB and I find the admin section very easy to use although modding is not made that easy.

I have never any other forum admin portals so couldnt comment on others although I think IPB itself seems a little more user friendly
