Hello All,

I have a heatkiller 3.0 cpu waterblock and i had it about 5 years now. i'm always looking to upgrade parts in my rig what's the best cpu water block to upgrade ?

thanks mike

What are the rest of your specs?

You'll only see a couple of degrees difference between that and something else, and for the £50 or so it'll cost, it isn't really worth it IMO.

thanks for fast reply james.

i done some overclock and got it to 4.5ghz and my temps are round 65c at full load and when i try oc it any higher temp goes very high in 80c at 4.8ghz i was ganna upgrade cpu waterblock but i dont think it worth it for a couple of degrees lower. so heatkiller 3.0 still a good cpu block ?. should i replace faster fans help lower temps alot ?. thaNK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

my spec
i7 2600k
8 gb 1600 ram
asrock z68 extreme4
msi 7970
silverstone 1100 watts

Yeah, the blocks still fine really.
From your spec, there isn't anything I'd really be thinking of upgrading.

What case and rads do you use?

If you're wanting to overclock further, I think adding more/better rads would show you a better performance increase than changing the block. Hell, even changing the fans on the rads could give you a better temperature difference.

i got silverstone RV02 + radiator sr1 560 with bitfenix 140mm Fans. my 7970 being cooled my water and i noticed my temp program I use shows 3nd core 10C hotter than the other 3 at Idle is that normal?. thanks
