:amd phenom II X4 965 3.40 ghz processor with a ruby orb blue fan

:4.00gb ram kingston hyperX 8500 cl5 240-pin kh8500d2

:gigabyte GTX 285 2GB Graphics card paid £340

:asus m4n82 motherbord

ower supply corsair XL950w

i play a lot of games so i whant to upgrade it so any advice please

also any good websight to learn about parts and buiding and stuff

Id change to ddr3 memory, Muskin Silverline or Corsair XMS3 is your budget is low!

my friend who built it said needed a big psu to run everyfing dident whant a cheap one

budget good dont mind paying for good stuff

so can my motherbord use ddr3 mem??

i see some peploe have dual G-C's do you think i need them?? and do thay have to be the same G-c?

dont fink my hardrive is very good or cd reader the guy who build it said it dident matter cheap are the same thing?

if your main use for the upgrade is gaming than the best place to start is graphics card.

which would be best all depends on how much your looking to spend.

for what its worth I agree with your mate to a degree, you can never have too much power or too much cooling

Yes you can but the GTX285 is for future gaming purpose a tad old ....

my mobo cant run ddr3 (just checked it out) so do you think it would be a good idear to get 2 more 2 gig mem stick's the same ones that would give me 8g, or would it be better to get new mem? if so can any one recomend any?

ive been reading hard drive speeds are important so can any1 recomend any?

Get a crosshair iv extreme then jump to DDR3, there is no point in buying more old ram

you dont need more then 4GB (for gaming)

if anything get a new motherboard ddr3 RAM and a new GPU something like a gtx560 or 570

probably around 3.8 to 4.0, maybe 4.1 at a push on any decent ~ high end air cooler

You do notice the difference going to ddr3, albeit not too dramatic

Noctua NH-D14 is the king of air coolers at the moment...

Again, it depends how you're spreading out the budget
