Upcoming build, any suggestions?

Oh no, XFX are on a whole other level of crappy support. :P

And don't we just know it. :p they recently announced they are dropping out of the PSU market to concentrate on cases ...

EVGA, Sapphire support arn't much better but at least you get a reply..

Corsair have bloody brilliant support as do Gigabyte, MSI and Asus.

I have used 2 XFX cards. 6870 and the 7870 tahiti LE with the DD cooler. Both performed well for me and the 7870 is pretty quiet. Only time the fans got loud was when the temps went up. On stock settings average temp was 86-87c using MSI Kombuster but got no hotter than 88c.

My 7870 would run at 80-something (under load) unless I had a very agressive fan profile. Several people on here have also had issues with them in the past to do with temperatures, which is a shame as they were incredibly cheap. Its also been noted that they have a very hit and miss quality control department and sometimes don't even bother to fit heatsinks on memory. Atleast that was the story with them on the 7xxx series. I've not heard much about them since. Its a shame they are very untrustworthy as their new series of cards do look rather fantastic.
