Up to 4.4ghz Windows + 1mb SP stable!

Thx guys. And the NB TIM application is reminiscent of rev 1 MacBook Pro's :( . It's hard to thoroughly clean the nb off from all the gunk, i found it best to put about 4 drops of arcticlean remover on and let it sit for a few mins then start soaking all of it up with a q-tip, then repeat about 4 times. Finally give it one hit of the purifier and it's golden :)

The chipset? Early ones had loads of thermal paste on them/bad contact on the heatsinks so you might want to re-do them... (from XS)

Frag - Freakin sweet!

Nah I meant my Apogee needs reseating. I'd already cleaned the absolute load of cr@p off the NB

Nice job with the rig, Frag, no doubt the scores will improve with some memory tweaks. You have pictures of your current system? :worship:

To Frag, Kemp, anyone...

Going to replace my Swiftech Apogee, it got bent and the copper is in really rough shape, will just replace with a Storm or Apogee GT... what do you recommend? Using an MCP-355 pump, here's a couple pics of it...

After getting it done...

**can you resize the image that was here and then add it back in - thankyou, Llwyd :)**

A backside shot. If you're saying "WTF...?!", I know I know, but it takes all of 3 seconds for my apartment to get super dusty... :P

This is the 'command center'...

I know some of you noticed it before, so yes I work in the kitchen (this is where I 'cook up' my machines... ;]

Anywho, a new waterblock and a lapping kit are in my future, anyone can offer suggestions.

Thanks,

ill snap some new pix after i get off work today for everyone to drool on ;) on my mobi now, will respond to other ? 2night.

pix of it with my aw9d-max are posted in my celtic frost thread, nothing but the mobo and nb cooler have changed.

I know the Apogee's are cheaper, but the Storm... if it works better, price no object. Read somewhere (long time ago, can't remember where) that one works better than the other under differing circumstances. If anyone can't confirm or deny, then the Storm it is; if the Apogee will work better with my system, then I don't mind the savings.

Yup, looks like the Apogee GT for me. Gotta find out about this 'bowed base' that's supposed to help bring temps down...

Frag how have you got on with the DFI's BIOS.

I have the guide by Tony now (thank god) but it's a damn maze of options

I'm getting on OK, some options are still baffling my noggin for sure though!

Congrats for getting that kind of overclock, do I understand that you disabled one core?

??? No?

Oh ok, you said one of your cores didn't like anything over 4GHz so I thought that you had disabled it to get to 4.4GHz.

It'll run in Windows fine, but it instantly fails Orthos.

IC ok, sad there is such a disparity there, have you tried anyother stability programs? The reason I say this is I have heard of some people having orthos fail when the CPU is stable by any other stability test.
