naw that involves keeping logs of the account info and checkin tha acount was actually present then restorin it aka bother and pointless; sure i dont fink unused accounts would take up that much space

u cant expect users to have to remake teir account 5 months later and logs of login info/subscribr threads and PMs would be needed to recreate an account automatically

nothing lol but in the cm forums there are more than 5000 mems who never show up so they removed them!

wait till we have our first 1k membas who dont use accounts b4 u talk of axein them

The fact of the matter is that unused accounts take up hardly any space (maybe 2kb or less), so there is really nothing to gain by deleting them, and as already stated, some people just register to download something from the forum, and then may not visit again for another 6 months.

The only reason i could ever see to delete unused accounts is if we had millions of members, and we was running out of reasonable username combinations for our members.

I agree with XMS...its only sensible to let all who want to acces the site in the future stay able to access us...not enough of us here otherwise!! :(

Agreed... I have about 600 or 700 inactive accounts on my forum but they pop in every so often just for one or two things. They take up no space and there's really no point to delete the accounts as Jim stated.
