Unofficial OC3D Drivers Team chat

I'm going to set up the controller later for manual gears and easy access to throwing the clutch, I can balance the throttle that's not a problem it's getting the tail to flick out I'm struggling with, also need to push up the steering speed as I'm under steering like crazy.
 
Ive started playing assetto corsa today.
I have all the settings maxed out, running at 1920x1080
The game runs very smoothly at 40-80fps with gpu usage of 95% of above, so this game is obviously very easy on the cpu (i have a crap one).

The vram is almost always maxxed out, and if its not then its about 100mb from being so. but somehow there is no choppiness and the game plays smoothly
 
I really can't drift on AC. Really pissed as I've never struggled with drifting before...

-edit- I'm looking at hosting a server for a game night on AC. Doesn't look like I'd need a xeon rig/stupid upload to host it either. Yay

I kept getting 95% CPU Occupancy last night, which causes some serious stutter :huh: and after exhaustive googling I've found nothing other than I'm not the only one experiencing this... from people with early Athlons to 4790Ks

If your using a 360 controller I have a perfect profile for car control, and always remember turn off traction control. I was flicking the stock M5 around quite happily last night.

Gamma 2.1 - 2.4
Speed Sensitivity 73 - 80
Filter 0.82 - 0.85
Dead Zone 0.04 - 0.05
Steering Speed 100%

Cheers :D I'll give it a go. My wheel died recently and I've been struggling adapting to controllers.
I've just been driving the drift preped m3.
 
Does anyone know how can i turn on auto clutch in asseto corsa? I have logitech driving force GT, with no clutch pedal and the engine is being very jerky and gears dont always switch

btw does anyone play LFS (not nfs)

After you pick your car and track the options are underneath in the realism settings. ;)

The only way to solve this so far is to close every other app..

I'm using 0.6.2, no problems here

the probably mucked up something with one of the updates

This looks very realistic, but you need more antialiasing :p

Cheers dude, but tried that already still no dice, even installed core parking it helped sort of but the problem remains. I get around 2 hours worth of play time before it happens, going to try what the AS mods said and reduce the replay buffer size down to 10mb.
 
i enjoy assetto corsa. If i still have my board monday evening or the rma has arrived by then i will take a few clips of my utter failure at the game.
my fave track is Imolla and my fave car is the lotus f1 thing. (its not really a f1)

my least fave car is the crossbow. i just cant seem to do anything with it. under steer like mad and locking up when i look at the break peddle.

in the main menu on the left click on the cog icon to go to optionws. then you can calibrate your wheel there.. follow the instructions and you will see you can just skip setting up a clutch, this works for me.

Cheers bud so much it works a treat. Car is a bit too twitchy (kinda like its running on something alot less legal than fuel) but I can finally drift on it.



Also the gains in performance they've made on the game is mad. Its pretty much increased my fps from 20 max settings (early release) to ~150fps. I'll put some videos up this week of some skids.

No problem you can always lower the Steering Speed if it's too twitchy.

Will give it a blast later, the only noise I seem to make at the moment is a long screech followed by a thud then scrabble for reverse :D
