Well you may have noticed that I've been pretty much non existent for a while, and as much as this may please a lot of you, id like to think that there a few people who appreciate my presence!
Well basically about a month ago, my hdd started making whirring noises and pc kept freezing up. So i turned it off, and was planning to wait until i cd put my hdd into another pc to back up what i could.
But anyway, a couple of days after this happened, I went on holiday for a week. Then i was home for 4 days, 2 of which i wasnt even in the house. Then I went on holiday again for 2 weeks, and I got back on Friday. Decided I better finally do something about my PC and its beloved data. So I decided to turn my pc on anyway just to see what the damage was, see how it was coping...
Anyway it booted up, loaded fine, and i began frantically backing up everything i could because I believed that the hdd would die any minute. But, I've now had the PC on for quite a few hours over the last couple of days, and it all seems to be working!
So, This post can be summed up in 2 sentences...
Computers are wierd, and mine are wierder.
And I'm back until my next holiday near the end of August, so get used to it
