Damn that'll be an expensive fix. A full silicone redesign. Although I appreciate the fact that these researchers created a tool for the public to see if they are infected.

could potentially fix by changing the the thunderbolt controller chip, seeing as all the exploits require its flash memory to be read with an external device
or just pot it with epoxy so you can't get pin access to it without destroying the chip (dodgy but effective)

seeing as you can desynchronize states between the thunderbolt controller and the system without errors being thrown or registered, i wager there are more exploits that will soon follow
