No set dates on that one... I've read its Q3 in some places and Q2 1 place... With such little noise about it perhaps it will be Q3.

Id just stick with getting an e8400. Theres a better chance of it being stock.

All dual core 45nm E8*** Penryn based models will drop by a whopping $2. This means that as of the 20th the E8200 can be had for $167, the E8400 for $187 and the E8500 for $266.

tbh seeing E8200 with multi of 8, will only come down by two dollors making it $167, picking up E8300 for $169 with 8.5 multi is a wise choice. although for spend another $16 will get you a cpu with multi of 9 - E8400.

Can make OC'ing easier, especially if your board can't handle very high FSB. Also gives more options for dealing with RAM dividers and such
