TurboV v Bios phenom 8400 OC

Hi,

i tried to OC my phenom 8400 via bios not much luck but i tried TurboV which on stock voltages i could have a fsb of 240 and a multi of 10.5 and it would be prime stable but if i put those numbers into biod i get a BSOD during boot i tried upping voltage to 1.3v and the ram and ht speed are below 800 and 1800 eachso they arnt the cause.

Any ideas?

Nvm i got a stable 2.5Ghz now dunno why same numbers i put in last time lol but its ran prime95 for 4 hours now and still going.

ram is at 960Mhz though if its at 1066 it becomes unstable oh well its good enough for now.

another lol moment is 1066Mhz ram scores 7.2 in WEI but 960Mhz ram scored 7.3 lol WTF?

your ain't going to better than 2.5-2.7GHZ on a 8400 X3

and, as i said before, unlocking cores usually ends ruining the chances of good OCing

2.5GHz is on par with the top entries @hwbot, that i showed you

EDIT: you got a nice mobo off me now - put a decent CPU on it and you will be very happy

yea its good good now ran prime all night might be able to get 2.6Ghz maybe.

it runs crysis 2 on extreme with a GTX 260.
