Trying to Stay below £800 for a Battlefield 3 Rig

I think Ebuyer have had a faulty batch of AX PSUs because someone else on here a while ago had the same thing happen to them with an AX PSU from Ebuyer.

Hiya all,

Yes this is my first new build, i built a p4 rig along time ago but i dont count that as technology has moved on quite a bit since then.

As soon as i posted on here last night i went straight to the corsair site where i found the "paper clip" test advice. It didnt work so my Psu deffinately had bit the bullet after only 2 days of ownership and about 2 hours use.

On a positive note, i can say with out doubt that Ebuyer's customer service is very good. I put through a RMA using my account in ebuyer, which was very easy indeed, then i was told to call a number. Called it, and they said send it back (and they would cover postage) and we will send you out a replacement. Thing is that the process all in would of taken over a week. So i asked for a refund and have purchased another one in the meantime which should be turning up tomorrow.

I also asked Ebuyers customer service: if any of my other parts have bit the bullet as a result of the "dodgy" Psu what do i do? he said "simple, just package them back up and we will get them replaced."

However, i REALLY hope nothing else got damaged in the process as then we would be talking weeks to get it all sorted out.

Cheers and Regards

I like the idea of using a projector, im building a dual projector passive 3d setup for 3d gaming. any of you ever done this ? i found this kit for a dual projector 3d system and i will be making a 120" curved screen. i found this on youtube looks pretty simple. ive seen a similar setup on toms hardware guide to make yourself but this omega 3d kit thing seems to have the parts to put it together instead of having to find and make them all.
