Trying out some new RAM... Hope it's good!

Just ordered a new set of 2gb Crucial Ballistix Tracers to try out... After talking with Bourne he seems to think that they're a great option for multiple choices as they are good for running in any multi at any speed.

Picked em up at a great price w/ $75 mail-in rebate from Newegg!

I'll report on how they are when they come in, I expect to see them on Friday with any luck.

Here's some pix and a short vid of the LED's in action... Pretty spiffy!

Well I like the fact that I can run the Ballistix @ much higher speeds if I want to drop multi.

The new Redline sticks I got from Bourne only do 250mhz anyways which is fuckin weak sausage.

results are expected :)

Ok so far this ram has completely ass fucked my computer, rofl...

At first it wouldn't post, no big deal... Reset CMOS and we'd be underway due to the previous setting from the Redline. After resetting the CMOS and switching the safe mode jumper it would post but no display would come up, been in this situation before *sigh*. Play with with the video cards, reset the CMOS again and now my monitor just flickers back and forth saying "Video Mode Not Supported", had this one before too *sigh again*. Pulled both vid cards, unplugged the power to both, inserted the bottom card and plugged in the monitor. Once again cleared CMOS and set the Safe Mode jumper. Booyah we have bootage! I get in to the safe mode bios, set a few basic settings to ensure it will run correctly when I switch out of Safe Mode. Get all of that done, switch out of safemode, and now it won't post again, rofl. Since that point I haven't been able to get any video display to work, tried everything. Tried top card only, bottom card only, both cards together with SLI linked and delinked. Usually just get the flashing "video mode not supported" error message on my monitor.

Currently have the power unplugged, CMOS battery out, clrea CMOS jumper set, both video cards out of the slots and unplugged from the power cables. Gonna give it about 15 mins for everything to reset and lose its memory then give it another shot. Damn DFI for making easy things like memory swaps a fucking bitch and a half. Once I get it working again though rest assured I'll be back in DFI heaven.

I'll report back whether or not I can get the beast running.

Mate you should set the timings to 3-4-4-8 and 2.8v to start off with.

Use the orange slots too :)

Done, done, and done... First things I did :( Gonna go back and try to boot real quick see if its ready to cooperate. I think I had to let it sit overnight last time this happened before it would work for me again.

Ive got it back... Just had to let everything sit and clear its memory...

Back on the main now. Now comes the fun part, tweakx0ring!

What settings u running right now kempy?

Shit Frag that sucks :(

You dont seem to be having much luck recently, i hear Dell calling you mate (just jokin ;) )

Got it up and running, working perfect in fact....

Turned it off to put back in a fan over my PWM's, hit the power switch, no video again.

WHAT IN THE MOTHERFUCKING FUCK!@!!

Edit 1: I just don't fucking get it... If I yank both cards, pull all the power plugs, yank the cmos battery and let it sit for 20-30 mins it will fire back up and work like normal until I completely power the unit off, when i try and power it back on I get the blank screen syndrom. Now I can press the reset button and it will continue to work, but if I power down (even a soft power off) when i turn it back on no vid display. This is such a fucked problem.

Is it the primary vid card or the damn mobo??? I can't fuckin' tell. All I know is that in the new system I'm putting in an SLI-DR Expert and a pair of 7800GTX's, fuck all these damn problems.

Edit 2: Added some pix and a short vid of the ram in first post. When my comp is running it definately runs like a raped ape with this ram :D
