I would like to start this thread with a statement.....I LOVE THIS CASE
The problems I have had with the Storm Trooper have been with the integrated led/fan controller, which really, if you look at the design is the main or one of the main features. Which is why I was so gutted when it stopped working.
It control's the led's and the fan speeds, and it does a really good job, when it works. That takes me to the reason I started the thread, my controller has stopped working, it has died completely!!!
NO led's, NO fan's nothing!!!!
now you may say its just a problem with mine, but this is the SECOND one in the last 8 weeks I have recieved which has developed the same identical fault.
The first one I returned to Amazon and they promptly replaced it, so at no point did I deal with Cooler Master, which is something I was not looking forward to doing as I have never rma'd before so I just took adantage of Amazon's 30day return policy.
But this second one is out of the 30 day policy, so I had to contact Cooler Master, and I have to say I am really impressed with the way they are handling this for me.
I emailed them with my issue, they asked for proof of purchase, I supplied them with copy of Amazon invoice, and they asked for my address and they are sending me a new control panel. easy as that.
I am very happy with how they are dealing with it, but its got me wondering, is this really common for these controllers to fail, as they do not want the broken one back, which I thought they would do, to confirm i'm not just trying to get free stuff!!
hmmm, never mind, im just happy that my new controller is on the way.
So, Thanks Cooler Master, keep making gorgeous cases
