Toshiba to possibly buy OCZ

So OCZ are struggling to stay afloat and Toshiba is looking at buying them out, which'll mean Toshiba will get a controller to go with it's flash and it'll save OCZ from death/hopefully improve OCZ's reliability issues.

what do you guys think? Should OCZ close down and toshiba are wasting their money or should Toshiba buy them and hopefully create a new generation of SSDs?

Its the only option OCZ have left, if it makes their products reliable and saves them from bankruptcy its a win/win for OCZ.

interesting, hopefully if this does happen it hopefully will sort out reliability issues.

take samsung for instance, build everything themselves, best of your nand goes into your ssds etc = very reliable products.

They floated the company before to stop it going under. Should just buy the controller rights and let the rest die. I mean what do they actually do anymore?

Be the butt of jokes? I dunno why toshiba wouldn't have done it, I guess OCZ is a well known brand?

You never know, combining the two could have some cool stuff come out of it if they integrate OCZ into them properly.

It's a damn shame... ocz ram was excellent back in the 775 days and now all I hear about them is bad...
