hello guys,

Before proposing my idea, I want to thank Tom and his team as well as active members of this forum to help me get better my practice of my passion for computing, especially computer equipment each day.

But if like me you are not yet familiar enough with all this mass of computer equipment, it is difficult to navigate. Many products are good and it makes the final choice for a purchase difficult. I think that despite the qualities of certain products, some have that little extra that tips the balance on the right side. By necessarily something essential, but the little extra. That little extra that makes it preferable to buy this product rather than another has the same quality. I think it's what we all search. Then take all the tests, it is huge. And if like me you are not yet familiar enough to properly choose your hardware for a particular use is even more difficult.

This brings me to my proposal: Tom could you elaborate examples of typical configurations for different purposes? games, overclocking, ect ...

Thank you for your time and please excuse my English vocabulary modest.

Its best to ask for advise dude, Ive not got the time to spec everyones rigs. The members here will always help guide you once you have a rough idea.

PLenty of threads and reviews for you to read through for inspiration.

Thank you Tom for your reply. I understand that your time is precious and it is already full with your very good tests. I asked this to avoid having to bother the forum members with questions or advice that might seem "silly" for experienced members. I am a beginner and I still have a lot of things escape me.

Like Tom said mate its what we like to do, all we need to know is what you want it to do and how much your looking to spend.

With how fast PC hardware moves Tom could write a guide for different types of PC and by the end of the month it would be out of date because of new products or price changes.

Thank you for your answers.

I forgot one essential thing: the world of hardware advance constantly and it'll be a big waste of time to maintain configurations.

Sorry for my stupid proposal
