Hi Tom, and other users, I finally updated my rig with a 2600k+p8p67 dlx+2x4gb gskill ripjaws 16000. I love it, just run fast and fine.

My big question is the memory, it's exactly this one http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=323 , the spd is a bit crazy so I looked for reviews and found those settings

DDR3 1333MHz CL7-7-7-20 1,5 1T (works ok)

DDR3 1600MHz CL8-8-8-24 1,5 1T (works ok)

DDR3 2000MHz  CL9-10-9-28  1,55 1T (couldn't try)

I have also tryed DDR3 1866MHz CL9-10-9-28 1,5 1T (works ok)

Do you think I will be able to tight up timmings on the lower speeds (1600/1866)?

And I guess that I should be able to make them run at 2133, if they are supose to run natively at 1000 why not at 1066? It's just a ridiculous oc, but I'm not experienced ocing ram, I had a 775 before and my crucial ballistix 800mhz runs at 1000mhz without efford on spd settings as well as my Adata did.

Now I know that the voltage for my ram is 1.55v and max for p67 is 1.65v (I guess), what do you suggest me to do? What are the steps for ram testing and ocing?

Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for my english, I'm still working on it.

Regards

I doubt they will do 2133 tbh. There is no option for 2000mem on sandy bridge.

So youll just have to go 1600 or 1866 which ever works best for your ram.

1.65v is max.

Use mem test and OCCT in linpack mode (use 90% free mem) everything will get hot so watch the cpu temps.

I know there's no option for 2000 on SB, but do you really think I won't be able to oc to 2133? ok, so 1866.

What memtest should I use, I've tryed 3.5a and 4.0, none worked, 4.0 just freezes and in 3.5a direct reboot? Is something wrong? I used linx with all mem and no problems so far... cpu temps are not an issue...

Regards and thanks again

PD: memtest 4.2 beta for p67, I'll try it right now and tell you. OK, works and no errors at least in one run @1866 CL9-10-9-28 1,50 1T
