TITANFALL Beta

Only played for 30mins last night and so far i'm just feeling another COD with titans. It was fun at first but i got bored of it quickly. I will play some more today and see how it goes.

When jumping into your titan does anyone else think to them self or say "It's time to kickass" or something similar?

nah, i never really jump into a titan because the only thing i think is "oh god, here we go, sluggish movement and one hitting everything on the ground".
the movement as a pilot is alright, not outstanding but i feel comfortable with it, being in a mech is like sprinting down a street after drinking half a bottle of vodka.

Not only was that footage on the xbox one ugly it was also much slower just to get in a match.

It was even slower, had to edit about 2 minutes of loading screen out.
The screen tear was unreal, not picked it up as much in the video though. Had a solid 60fps on PC. I was just happy i managed to do some half decent parkour lol.... oh and that across map grenade haha

i had to drop loads os settings to get it to run semi smooth at 1440 and my system glides through everything usually. the 2gb vram is showing its age big style.

To be honest I didn't think i'd be able to run it maxed out with solid fps.
Was very close to swapping from to Intel.
No need to do that now.
Looking forward to playing it in its entirety.

Its a source engine. It does not require super high end hardware to run at max settings. Just look at the minimum spec list and you can run this game with 8800GT and a R4770.. very old hardware..

I ran the game with my single 7950 maxed out(2x msaa) at 1080p and the screen tear was always present because my FPS was constantly over 60. Very annoying.

I'm not 100% sure if this is correct, but i came across this and the amount of Vram Titanfall uses, pretty crazy (although i could be wrong! :p)

I'm not sure if i will give this a crack, from seeing some footage looks very a la cod (used to love the old ones... hurtgen, pavlov :p) Destructable scenery would have been sweet!

That seems quite normal to me tbh, but rather low it seems for the 4k resolutions.. interesting to see a 280x and a 780ti being compared though.
