Time killing paste

Quick question. Does AS5 go off over time?

I dont mean cure, ive got half a packet thing left and its quite old. Will it still be ok?

It should be just fine. Is it a tube or like a packet? I've only seen it in tubes but, if its a packet, mush it around. If its a tube it'll be fine.

I don't see an expiration date on my tube. I guess as long as you keep the end on the tube, or completely sealed it'll be fine for many years. :)

however it should be stored in a certain way, dont remember if it was the tip up or down but over time you will have separation and a semitransparent liquid.

what difference would that make? would tip-down turn off gravity or something?

if the tip is stored down i THINK the liquid ends up at the end of the syringe, if the tip is stored up i think the liquid ends up at the tip.

if its just on the shelf you could end up with a mixture of thermal paste and liquid.

i have encountered that problem but just wiped the cpu clean and tried again with better result.

however it takes ALONG time for it to happen, did a EXTREMLY quick googling on it earlier today and one fellow experienced the problem with as5 that hadnt been touched in 5 months.

I normally squeeze out a couple of pea sized blobs before every use - just to be sure, when i use my AS5.
