Time for a upgrade!

Ok,

So currently I am running the GA-MA785-US2H. I'm looking for something well, better. Not that this one is crap, but I feel it is time for ddr3.

One of the main things for me is overclocking, I love it its what I do. If something is holding back my OC, aka ram, mobo, heat. I want it replace with something better.

The other key thing I would like is the ability to unlock my 4th core(My X3 is tested stable at 3.66 with 4th core unlocked). The GA-MA785 was a temporary solution about a year or so ago, its time for a change.

This then brings me to the issue....Where do I start. The most work I've done to my PC in the past months was last week putting in a Corsair GS600 Watt PSU (last one failed and so did two hd's).

Specs:

AMD Phenom II 720BE (4th core @ 3.66)

4 GBS of cheap ddr2

XFX GTS250 1gb

4 assorted hd's

GA-MA785GM-US2H

CPU-Z (Don't laugh at me

Trying to keep prices around 120-140, and ram can be its own price as long as it works well with my motherboard. Bit of oc'n would be nice too.

I just have no idea where to even start looking, I started working a few months ago and lost track of everything. Normally visited the sites once a week to read reviews and browse the forums to keep me up to date. But work hit, and yeh. Hours are steadying out, now have time for my favorite hobby again. (Advice on the OC is fine too, though I'm pretty sure I hit my limit).

Well, that one is a bit out of my budget. $209 on newegg, but it looks like a rock solid motherboard.

Issue I've noticed just by looking at the picture,

Sata ports directly behind the PCIe slot, may cause some fitting issues for my graphics card.

But I may just spend a little bit extra to get something nice, possibly look at getting a new graphics card eventually.

But thanks for the quick response, I'm going to read up a bit on this board get a idea of what I would be getting with it. Still open to any other idea's.

the sata ports are 90degrees lol will not interfere with any gpus I have its big brother the Extreme and have used the formula as well a very very good board for the $$$

Big question here, does your case support ATX form factor motherboards? Also do you want the option for future SLI? If so http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128510 even though its a little over your budget. If you don't want SLI then http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131757 as all these boards offer decent expandability with the new upcoming cpu's but they are ATX form factor. O yes, the RAM well as far as i can see the best choice is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226176. Also American prices make me sick, way too cheap!
